SUMMARY
Leaning down the curves and speeding through traffic, low in the saddle of their Harley choppers, a new generation of riders is hitting the road… Motorcycles have long been considered the property of men, in real life as in popular culture. Amongst them: the outlaws of the Motorcycle Clubs, once described with surgical precision by gonzo journalist Hunter S. Thompson in his first book: Hell’s Angels (1967). Juxtaposing Hunter S. Thompson’s writings about male biker gangs in the 60s, with contemporary stories of women motorcyclists, We Ride questions the persistent stereotypes in motorcycle culture.
The film was granted the rights to use Hunter S. Thompson’s cult classic Hell’s Angels: The Strange and Terrible Saga of the Outlaw Motorcycle Gangs by his estate and his wife Anita, who created the Gonzo Foundation dedicated to promote literature, journalism and political activism through the writer’s legacy.
French actress, singer and musician Vanessa Paradis – the famous interpreter of “Joe le Taxi” -also granted the rights to use her killer track “Ma Pétroleuse” as the soundtrack of this joyride.
The film premiered at HotDocs in Toronto, Canada in 2023, followed by screenings at TMMF motorcycle film festival and the Dubaï Moto Film Fest.

Hmmmm … not bad … far from good mind you ( way too much Suburban Urban Hipster wanna be BS , posturing and posing to be taken seriously ) … but not as horrible as some .
But in all honestly … its primarily Fashionista with M/C’s barely as an afterthought …
Seriously … after watching the videos and reading the bios and autobiographies of women who actually DID something … other than pose ..
The Question with this…errr … film …. cough … is …. Why ????
I really don’t care what their reasons are for riding. Just that they do. Thats all that matters. I love women on motorbikes. There are many men on bikes whotry to present an image that isnt them, but thats okay too. Live and let live. .I am a guy, just so you know.. I am Australian. Cheers
