International demand for bigger, faster motorcycles pushed Fabio Taglioni to create a new 90 degree V-twin 750cc engine in 1969. Within six months, the prototype was hustling through the hills of Bologna, and the Ducati 750 GT was born. Its engine had gorgeous castings, ran vibration-free, and was installed in a beautifully styled chassis that handled as if on rails. It was a masterpiece, and the first of many classic Ducati models from the 1970s.
