Ducati entered a new era with its 750cc V-twins, and racing successes confirmed their status as world-class sports machines. After famously winning the Imola 200 race in 1972, Ducati released a hot rod version of their 750 GT with exquisite café racer styling: the 750 Sport. It was an instant classic, beautiful and fast and uncompromising, as it could only be ridden in a racing crouch, even at slow speeds. But slow was never the point: the 750 Sport was built for speed, and it delivered.
