Lino Tonti trimmed the husky Moto Guzzi V7 tourer into the sleek V7 Sport in 1971, just in time for the factory’s 50th anniversary. The first 150 models were hand-built in the racing department, before proper production began in 1972. Testers and racers loved the V7 Sport, with its chic café racer styling, comfortable riding position, easy shaft drive, excellent handling, and an electric starter. It was the first of many sporting Moto Guzzi V-twins to come.
