Centauro, a 2022 action thriller film directed by Daniel Calparsoro, and shot in the Spanish provinces of Barcelona and Teruel. The film is a remake of the 2017 Yann Gozlan film ‘Burn Out’, which was based on the 2012 novel ‘Balancé dans les cordes’ by Jérémie Guez. While there is no subtitled trailer, the film is available in English on Netflix. Link below.
SUMMARY
Rafa’s hooked on the pure, fiery feelings he gets from speed racing, but when his kid’s mom gets mixed up with drug dealers, he burns rubber to save her.
Seeking to settle a debt, wannabe pro biker Rafa decides to pledge his services to a criminal organization. However, he is torn between the two lives he is leading as an honest man in the morning and a courier at night. Eventually this double life takes a toll on him and he resorts to drugs, which affects his dream of being a pro racer. At last he understands that there is no way out from the crime life and with help of his friend he tries to escape the drug cartel but is identified by the police and offered the same job just on the side of law which he takes up as he realises that family is the most important thing.

Hmmm … kinda looks like a real kick in the pants ….a lil MotoGp style racing ( Spains 2nd national sport / religion ) .. aa lil shoot em up splash crash and smash .. and some pretty decent from what the trailer shows cinematography .
Hmmm … gots NetFlix … may has ta give it a whirl !

Ratings though ?
On this Spanish version … ok … good … adequate .. watchable … worth the time if you’ve already got Netflix
On the Belgium / France original .. …. terrible reviews … from character development to cinematography … facts is .. I had a hard time finding one single good word about it
So if ya’s gonna watch it ( I probably will ) watch this Spanish version … not the original … which in light of Spains abject love of all things MotoGP SBK etc … should come as no shock to anyone
This being the very rare case … where the remake .. is actually better than the original … though in all honesty ….. the bar was set pretty damn low by the original ..

Ay ….. el Splinky rises from the ashes . But seriously son … try watching the movie before commenting on it …you know … so you might actually know what yer talking about rather than stuffing that size 6 down yer throat yet one more time .
And BTW … if you knew yer head from yer posterior … you’d know all sorts across the board from billionaires to street people end up in the endless cycle of drugs and alcohol … ahhh … but then again … you need to have lived a bit to understand that … as in .. the REAL world … not parked permanently in front of you computer/device
