SUMMARY
“The Trippers are a chopper club that draws inspiration from the ethos of 1960s biker culture, emphasizing a hands-on approach to building and maintaining their motorcycles. Unlike many riders who purchase ready-made bikes, every Tripper builds and maintains their own machine. Their process is unconventional, often influenced by altered states of consciousness, with members performing detailed maintenance, welding, and adjustments while under the influence of psychedelics. A community focused on preparation and endurance, ensuring their bikes are ready to put down the miles day after day.” – Tripper Colt
In the summer of 2024, the Trippers rode 2000 miles the long way from Portland Oregon to Virginia City Nevada for the annual chopper show, Virginia City Roundup. ( I mean really … how many hipster wanna be’s on crap choppers films does the world need ? … and draws their egos from the 60’s chopper vibe ? Yeah right … get a clue kiddies … ya’ll don’t know $h1t on the end of a stick about what the 60;s were like on a chopper .. or any other motorcycle for that matter ) ) …
but …. err … the cinematography almost makes it sort of worthwhile … so being a bit generous today … I’ll give it a C+ .. despite the plethora of BS
The soundtrack ? They should of stuck with the Americana vibe thru out … rather than that UTurn into BS electronica

So here’s a suggestion I recently came across again … a very short film .. about a woman rider .. with genuine music behind it all
Neil Young’s ” Unknown Legend ” ‘ official ‘ video … the lyrics along are worth the ‘ ride ‘
So this film ? Assuming my original comment has been lost in the void ..
I mean really … does the world really need another film about hipster wanna be’s riding crap built ‘ choppers ‘ pretending to be that which they have no compression of what so ever ?
( 60’s vibe my lily white posterior … some day little ones I’ll clue you into what M/Cing in the 60’s on choppers or otherwise was really like )
The reality is … no we do not .. so stop it already
But … with a certain amount of trepidation … I’ll give this one a C+ … the oval cinematography saving the day .
And one of these days when I’m in ‘ Teacher ‘ mode … I’ll educate y’all into the realities of M/C’s in the 60’s … suffice it to say though … this bunch aint it … hell .. even the ‘ Diggers ” ( Peter Coyote’s crew … yes THAT Peter Coyote ) had more style and sense than this bunch 😉

Actually Zippy …. they/we were a helluva lot smarter than to be ‘ tripping ‘ while on the road or performing any kind of maintenance … thats a hallmark of todays ( your ) generation …. irresponsible use of … well … you know
