GIRL MEETS BIKE is the 7th feature film by Minneapolis-based Eric Tretbar. His films have won the audience award at the Berlin Film Festival, received an Independent Spirit Award nomination (the indie Academy Awards), and aired on the Sundance Channel, German TV, and NBC. They’ve also screened in competition at world festivals, including London, Athens, Sao Paulo, Warsaw, Seattle, Toronto, Rivertown, Orlando, Vienna, Hong Kong, Melbourne, Los Angeles Independent, The American Film Institute, and The Walker Art Center.
Eric is an avid motorcycle enthusiast and musician, scoring much of his film music, and drumming for Minneapolis and L.A. garage/R&B/punk outfits THE FUNSEEKERS, THE SPECTORS, THE RED HEARTS and FRIENDS LIKE THESE. Eric also teaches film production and history at Carleton College and Minneapolis College of Art and Design.
Girl Meets Bike screened at the first annual The Motorcycle Film Festival in 2013. The MFF (RIP) was Founded by Corinna Mantlo and Hosted by Paul d’Orleans. Girl Meets Bike is now available to watch online. see link below.
SUMMARY
Danger, defiance, desire. Kat buys her first bike with her wedding dress money and rides into a new circle of motorcycle friends who are attracted but threatened by her newfound independence.
As she learns to ride, her new friends vie for her affection, stirring jealousy and long-buried emotions. In her stubborn quest for freedom, Kat must interpret their constant offers of advice: are they subtle forms of control? Or crucial knowledge, without which she might get herself killed?

Pretty damn stupid if you ask me for the film owners to not allow access to a freaking trailer … I mean … really … whats the deal … they don’t want our business ? … I mean seriously … isn’t the whole idea of a trailer to PROMOTE the film ?

Ahhh …. methinks I’d discovered the root of the problem . Seems VIMEO has lost all rights to the film …trailer included … all going to Amazon/Amazon Prime ( explicatives in abundance )
So …. the Trailer ? It is on YouSteal ( YouTube ) … the film ? … exclusively on one Amazon platform or another .. either as PPV or included in the subscription
Sooooo … in light of my boycotting the Shape Shifting Lizards of Silicon Valley after their ultimate betrayal …. guess this is another potentially good film I’ll miss out on … oh well ….. better my ethics than a film I can no doubt ( though I’d rather not ) do without

The contrast between your font and the background is so washed out it’s hard for older bikers to read.
Seriously ? With no insult intended nor implied … I’m one of those older bikers ( card carrying Boomer and damn proud of it ) …. and granted … for this and all other websites I do use ‘ Readers ‘ [ 1.8 ]
But I gotta tell ya … I have ZERO additional difficulties here than any other website … in fact to be honest … I find this website’s font and background ( White as the driven snow ) easier than many
So … with once again no insult intended …. may I suggest your problem is either the eyewear you’re using … or the device you are on ( or alternatively your server ) Cause honestly … most of us here are of a certain age or above … and you’re the very first to ever make such a complaint .
