Cam Elkins conceived Stories of Bike back in 2013. The series that followed explored the love of motorcycles and the people who ride them. We’ve featured several of the series on The Vintagent including Origins (2013), Romance (2013), Peak Hours (2013), Answers (2014), Dream (2014), Discovery (2015). The final season, season 3 was released in 2018 and premiered with Faster, featuring Alicia Elfving aka Motolady.
MotoLady was created as a way to encourage current and aspiring women riders and replace the bad reputation the sport / hobby has racked up over the years with a positive sense of community. MotoLady is a website built for men and women motorcyclists alike. Those who appreciate women riders can find a massive amount of media here for daily distraction, education, and inspiration. Real women who ride, motorcycles in art, design and marketing, motorcycle fashion, gear reviews, industry news, one of a kind articles and features, and submissions are a few of the things covered. My recommendation is … this woman best pay attention to the ‘ realities ‘ of HST’s ” Song of the Sausage Creature ” … as well as HST’s ill lived life and the consequences there in …… cause the reality is …. challenge SC’s domain over and over again and … its not IF the beast is gonna catch up with you … but WHEN … and how bad’s it gonna be when he/it does .
She might wanna pay a little more attention to HST’s rants about ” The Edge ” as well !
And though SC didn’t catch HST on a bike .. it sure as hell caught up with the SOB in all his ugly habits … with the final consequence being … well … you know .. or at least you damn well should !
Suffice it to say … three years ago the beast caught up with me … didn’t catch me … but took a damn good chunk outta me when it did … for which I’m still ” As Cane Will Travel ” to this very day … and may never fully recover .
( my current symbol is a Giacometti like figure carrying a guitar walking with a can … with the words underneath … ” Oh Well ” … from the Peter Green era Fleetwood Mac . .. still looking for an artist to put that on my Schott leather vest .. as well as a tattoo artist I can trust … ( yeah right )
Which is to say … yeah … you think yer invincible till yer not ….. and trust me little lady … its coming faster than you think … I’ll just hope its not a complete tragedy when it does ..
Finally … Full discloser …I’ve been a reader of HST since his Rolling Stone days …. as a person … eeesh … depended on which day you ran across him … and truth be known we need his kind now more then ever … but for the real insider story … I highly highly recommend
