‘1500’ is a short documentary about the longest motorcycle rally in Europe – The Great Malle Rally. Shot and edited in 2020 by the filmmaker Will Carr, as he rode the 1500+ route from the southern to the northern tip of mainland Britain, capturing the adventure with the rally teams.

Just watched the film in the Malle 2020 Rally. Very nicely done. But curious what universe the participants were living in. No masks, no attempt to distance. One only wonders how much Covid was spread, and ultimately who was sickened or died as a result. Pretty irresponsible behavior all around.
I guess that’s the beauty of film, it’s all in the editing. We/all riders were given custom made PPE, with pre-event checks and social distancing maintained through out the event. Not a single Covid related issue arose from this well managed event, it was the highlight of an otherwise very dull year. Can’t wait to do it again next year.
Very refreshing to witness the virus being edited out of this beautiful voyage. Focused on the essential, for me. Thank you for sharing this dreamy bit of your adventure, gives me hope for the future. Cheers!
