Hmmm … a moment of critical thinking worth pondering .
Dylan Thomas died at age 38 ..[ with the last decade of his life being pretty much a waste of good air ] … self imploding way too soon due to addictions and a lifestyle of self destruction . So why in the ( bleep ) do we take any any advice on living into our later years from the likes of ole DT ? ( oh the irony … get it ? DT … dt’s )
Think about it … based on the axiom that ‘ Life Sucks but it Beats the ( Bleep ) out of the Alternative ……
Maybe … just maybe … it is better to go gently and wisely into the night …. passing on the lessons of age onto those youth astute enough to listen .
Ahhh … the dangers and joys of stepping on idols toes … especially literary idols ….

Dylan Thomas In America is one of my favorite books. The apartment he had and died in at the Chelsea hotel was recently saved as a memorial to his time there. 🖤
