Collecting Motorcycles in the Shadow of the Acropolis
The Hellenic Motorcycle Museum of Athens, Greece
Motorcycle collections are often built as the result of one person’s dedication to preserving memory and time. People are drawn to specific brands and styles for aesthetic and technical reasons, but also intangible reasons that might be hard to explain. One bike leads to another and a logic between the machines develops. Having a large, safe, space to keep those bikes facilitates the process exponentially.

So we’s back Greece way again … thats fine … this collection is one of the more eclectic collections around … and in fact it’d be nice if Mr McCabe would do a future post of a good selection of the bikes with perhaps some descriptions to go with em . But till then … yup …. a mighty fine worthy of the entrance fee museum indeed … but ahhh …. there is that traffic / madcap drivers issue …but on the flip side … the food wine and libations are to die for … so maybe stick with taxis and public transport … leaving the driving to the locals

΅Dear Mr. McCabe,
What a great article about my close, good friend Takis! And his amazing museum and collection of motorbikes! I am a female rider from Athens, Greece, and I was very excited to read your article!
Thank you so much!
Warm regards, Polytimi Boznou (at the time recovering from a bad motorbike accident…)
