SUMMARY
Letters from the Salt is a story about friendship, legacy, loss, and the pursuit of a dream that refused to end.
Years after building a land-speed racing motorcycle with the late Bobby Haas, the Haas Moto team finally makes their way to Bonneville to finish the story Bobby started. What began as a shared passion for motorcycles becomes something much deeper: an opportunity to honor Bobby’s memory, preserve his legacy, and experience Bonneville in his spirit.
From the long journey to Bonneville and the preparation in the pits to the uncertainty and challenges of racing on the salt, this film captures the emotional reality behind the pursuit of speed. For the team, the goal is about more than setting a record. It is about doing something they had never done before, carrying Bobby with them, and recognizing the people and friendships that made the journey possible.
As the team reflects on success, failure, and the thin line between the two, one thing becomes clear: the real accomplishment was making it to the salt and finishing what they started.
Letters from the Salt is a tribute to Bobby Haas and to the passion, camaraderie, and determination that continue to carry his legacy forward.

Ahhhhh …. once again … the Bonneville Salt Flats … can’t say I was ever much of a Haas fan … but the Salt ? Hell … the only way we’ll run out of fascinating stories from the Salt … will be if and when ( more likely when ) the Salt Flats disappear into obscurity . Sigh …..
Nice one !
😎
…. and yeah … the film itself is a bit of a snooze … but what the hell … its The Salt Flats … which in and of its self can excuse a whole host of ills
